New LifeHR Member Discussion Forums / New Job Board!
This summer, the LifeHR team has been working behind the scenes to bring our member community several new and updated features to make your website navigation and experience more engaging.
These new features are NOW LIVE in the LifeHR Website Community and we invite you to login and explore them in full detail. Below is an overview on how to access and take advantage of the updates.
NEW MEMBER DISCUSSION FORUMS
You can find important discussion topics under key forum headers like COVID-19, Comp & Benefits, Employee Engagement, Legal Questions, Learning & Development and others. Once you subscribe (see how below), you are ushered into that designated forum where you can view and reply to posts, as well as start a new discussion pertinent to that discussion area.
The new Discussion Board is accessed via the same menu link as before: COMMUNITY > MEMBER DISCUSSIONS.
If you want to receive email notifications when any new Topic/Message is created, YOU MUST SUBSCRIBE TO EACH DESIRED FORUM INDIVIDUALLY by clicking on a forum, then selecting “Subscribe for New Topics.”
You can unsubscribe from any individual forum, any specific topic, or all forums/topics at any time by clicking on MY PROFILE > SUBSCRIPTIONS from the forum header menu (see image below). You can also subscribe/unsubscribe within any of the Forums/Topic areas.
NEW POST / REPLY FORM
When Posting a Reply to an existing forum topic, or when Creating a New Topic, the content form has been redesigned to allow much more versatility, including attachments (limited to 10MB in file size). See sample below.
ACCESSING THE DISCUSSION ARCHIVES
If you wish to access any of the previous Member Discussions (prior to August 27, 2021), click on the forum titled “Access Historical Member Discussions Archive” and follow the link(s). This is Read-Only and no replies can be posted within this archives area.
NEW JOB BOARD
The JOB BOARD is an entirely new feature added for 2021, allowing members to:
- View Available Positions
- Post an Available Job Position
As a LifeHR member, you can now use the Job Board to advertise those key positions you want help sourcing from your colleagues, as well as take a look at available positions that you, or someone you know, may be interested in learning more about. Note: This is not intended to replace any company’s career pages. Rather, it is simply to help spread the word among LifeHR members those positions you would like for them to be aware of.
VIEWING AVAILABLE POSITIONS
If you wish to view all descriptions for job positions that have been posted, select the menu link: COMMUNITY > JOB BOARD > AVAILABLE JOBS.
Here, you can view all posted jobs, or enter a search keyword at the top of the Job Board. Clicking on one of the results will open the detail page for that posting which includes a link to apply for that job or to learn more details from the hiring company.
POSTING A JOB
If you wish to post a new job, select the menu link: COMMUNITY > JOB BOARD > POST A JOB
This will open the Post a Job Intake Form allowing you to enter all necessary details of the available position.
