About the Role:
Provides senior and/or lead support for general Human Resources (HR) programs including one or more of the following: HR business partner / client-facing initiatives (training, Performance Management, etc.), Employee Relations, Immigration, Contingent Workforce, Employee Training (LMS), Safe Driver, Workers Compensation, on-/off-boarding, AAP data/analytics, employee relocations, reasonable accommodations, electronic filing system, guidelines, policies, procedures, special projects, and other HR-related areas. Collaborates with HR-specialty teams to develop and deliver HR programs and guidelines, and solutions to increase employee engagement and achieve company and HR team goals._

Your Contributions (include, but not limited to):
• HR Business Partner Focus

Deliver HR support and guidance on a variety of HR projects. Works in coordination with the HRBP’s, Talent Acquisition, Workday HCM, and the Talent Management teams
Coordinates talent management projects using the Core Strengths assessment tool and other training programs for HRBPs. Assists in scheduling and arranging team building sessions
Assists efforts focused on an outstanding employee experience from onboarding to exiting
May assist with employee relations issues as needed
• HR Operations Focus

Lead day-to-day activities, programs and projects for key HR Operations functions including, but not limited to: Contingent Workers, Affirmative Action Plan development & analytics, administer HR’s Learning Management System (LMS) training items, relocation, safe driver program, onboarding/offboarding, electronic data system and immigration
Provide support to research, recommend, develop, implement, interpret and/or document HR guidelines, workflows, reports and approvals
Design, lead and implement and/or partner with the HRBP’s, Talent Acquisition, and the Talent Management teams on a variety of HR projects (e.g., review and updates to the new hire onboarding and orientation experience, HR communications strategy, cross-functional process improvement teams, employee engagement/culture-related programs, etc.)
May be responsible for company’s diversity initiatives and may maintain records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements
Writes, improves and maintains HR processes, guidelines, policies, and employee handbooks. May work with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) concerning complicated work-related issues when necessary
Manage the HR intern(s), HAPI Team, and related projects
Train and mentor less experienced HR team members may have direct report(s)
• HR Focus

Support other HR teams/functional areas with activities related to Total Rewards, HRIS and HRBP teams and other HR activities as needed
Resolve complicated employee and manager questions regarding policies, procedures and programs. Respond effectively to various questions regarding HR-related projects and systems. May assist with employee relations issues and/or reasonable accommodations as needed
Manage vendor relationships for assigned programs, including program reviews and contract negotiations
Conducts research and analyzes data on assigned projects
• Other duties and projects as assigned


BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field and 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in human resources with exposure to and demonstrated competence in all functional areas OR
Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 4+ years of related experience OR
PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred
Preferred experience: HR generalist in the life science or related industry, and HRIS
Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in legal risk assessment as well as the application of employment law in most HR business situations
Strong understanding and practical application of federal, state and local labor regulations and policies is required; and ability to apply based on situation
Ability to think and consult tactically with some strategic consideration, has experience managing and leading change, and has effective influencing skills
OD, TM and team building expertise is preferred
Ability to deal effectively and confidentially with employees at all levels within a diverse workforce regarding HR related topics
Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work
Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area
Ability to work as part of a team; may train lower levels
Excellent computer skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Detail oriented yet can see broader picture for department
Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
