We are currently looking for a Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and New Employee Experience, who will be a critical member of our HR team and will serve an important, high-profile role in leading our talent acquisition and onboarding efforts. Designing strategies to source and attract top candidates, implement best practices that result in successful hires, train hiring managers and lead the process from identification of the talent needs, sourcing, hiring, selection and up to the successful on-boarding of new employees while strengthening Crinetics’ employer brand. This individual will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and lead a team of recruiters and operations staff. (Position will be filled at the level commensurate with experience and will have opportunity to work in a hybrid schedule)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These may include but are not limited to:
Lead Crinetics talent acquisition and onboarding efforts
Develop and execute the overall Talent Acquisition strategy, performance objectives and successful on-boarding program
Manage, guide and develop a team of qualified recruitment professionals through education and training that support best sourcing and hiring practices
Develop creative key strategies and initiatives for recruiting diverse talent through various channels including, but not limited to social media, industry, employee referrals, professional networks, and universities
Lead process improvement initiatives to meet the changing needs of the talent acquisition function, including on-boarding experience and work to remove barriers throughout the recruitment process and operational deliverables
Translate business needs into strategic initiatives and drive quantifiable outcomes
Proactively partner with other members of TA and Human Resources (i.e. Total Rewards, HR Operations, Employee Relations & Talent Management) team on developing action plans for hiring key, hard to find talent
Build positive relationships by collaborating across the company and work closely with the business owners to ensure we are crafting sourcing and hiring efforts that address the appropriate business needs
Work closely with Finance to help manage headcount and recruiting budgets
Monitor external and internal data to benchmark our practices and identify emerging trends to guide our practices
Track and develop new metrics that help assess, analyze and understand our talent pipeline, areas of recruiting strength, and areas of development
Utilize data to develop and analyze key metrics to understand and improve our recruiting efforts for DE&I recruiting, proposes changes when necessary
Build strong relationships and partnerships with hiring managers, leaders, and executives to advise on best practices, key hiring decisions and workforce planning
Partner with Corporate Communications team to develop and enhance the employment branding positioning
Effectively enable and manage outside recruitment and staffing agencies and other talent vendors and resources
Partner with appropriate internal teams, stakeholder and subject matter experts to implement agreed upon improvements
Partner with business to create post-new hire company-wide onboarding programs with some function-specific for each department (approximately 20)
Engage subject matter experts to create post-new hire onboarding roadmaps
Establishes replicable framework to accelerate and improve post-new hire onboarding ramp up activities
Regularly evaluate effectiveness of post-new hire onboarding programs and content
Work on additional cross-functional projects as part of the long-term strategy of building a best-in-class organization
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of related industry experience, (Biotech/Life Sciences highly preferred) 6-8 years of Talent Acquisition management experience required. (Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
Experience leading recruiting strategies globally preferred
Ability to proactively source and attract passive talent in the industry through multiple methods and channels
Deep understanding and experience with recruitment practices, laws, regulations, and customs across key global market
High degree of business acumen and people acumen/insights, and ability to influence business leaders at all levels
Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and manage complexity
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Proven track record of managing/developing successful teams
Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Employment policies would be highly advantageous
Experience with ATS, sourcing and recruiting marketing tools is a must
Deep sourcing expertise to help build and engage diverse talent pipelines
Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow and develop others
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Equipment: PC, scanners, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.
Software Knowledge: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of other software required: Paycor Recruiting or other similar ATS.
EFFORT REQUIRED/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
