We are currently looking for a Director of Learning & Development, who will be a critical member of our HR team and will serve a high-profile role in leading the organizational learning and development strategy through program and resource creation, fostering a culture of continued learning. The position will manage and improve upon exciting training solutions, leverage best practices in learning and innovation in approaches/technology. The position works closely with the HR team in identifying individual, group, and organizational development opportunities by defining, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies and programs to drive business goals and prioritize forward. This individual will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), will lead a small team of L&D staff and work with external partners. (Position will be filled at the level commensurate with experience and will have opportunity to work in a hybrid schedule)


These may include but are not limited to:
Lead Crinetics Learning & Development efforts
Develop and execute the overall Learning & Development strategy, learnings objectives and successful company-wide development programs
Understand and balance what solutions should be built in-house vs working with vendors/partners, and then negotiate and manage vendor relationships as applicable
Build strong relationships and partnerships with managers, leaders, and executives to advise on best practices, key learning and development deliverables
Support agile and systematic program improvement in alignment with strategic priorities
Proactively partner with other members of the Human Resources team (HR Operations, Employee Relations, Total Rewards & Talent Acquisition) on developing action plans for developing targeted learning & development opportunities, help develop ‘train the trainer’ for new content and partner to support HR related initiatives
Partner with CHRO and HR Director in the design and implementation of Crinetics Culture Committee and Employee Resource Groups to develop and implement programs and events that fosters a diverse and inclusive culture
Build a metrics-driven organization through defined L&D goals, reporting, and dashboards to provide actionable insights
Evaluate the impact of our learning programs using learning metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness
Work with quantitative and qualitative data to analyze how learning objectives, course content, and learning programs can be enhanced
Build positive relationships by collaborating across the company and work closely with the business owners to translate business needs into strategic learning initiatives and drive change driven outcomes
Partner with Corporate Communications team to develop and enhance the employee culture and foster a continuous learning environment
Effectively enable and manage outside vendors and consultants and other learning related resources
Regularly communicate with stakeholders to calibrate the successes and opportunities related to learning & development strategy, and coaching management
Work on additional cross-functional projects as part of the long-term strategy of building a best-in-class organization
Ensure all programs embody and reinforce our cultural values, commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related industry experience, (Biotech/Life Sciences highly preferred) 5+ years of Organizational Learning & Development management experience required. (Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
Experience leading and executing companywide L&D strategies preferred
Strong leadership, facilitation, interpersonal, team building, written/verbal communication, and conflict resolution skills
Understanding and experience working with adult learning needs
Must have a combination of curriculum development expertise, business acumen and the ability to build an effective program to meet the goals of a fast growing organization
Requires working knowledge of various educational and training media, extensive experience in training facilitation and curriculum development
Experience in video-based eLearning lessons, production of videos, and recording of learning programs
Experience must demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, collaboration, project management, problem solving, and change management
Strong command of learning management systems
Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic ability to formulate and drive high profile and companywide programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to and diverse audiences
The ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
Ability to supervise or work effectively with diverse workforce
High degree of business acumen and people acumen/insights, and ability to influence business leaders at all levels
Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Strong attention to detail
Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and manage complexity

Equipment:  PC, scanners, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.

Software Knowledge:  Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  Knowledge of other software required: Paycor HRIS or other similar HRIS/HCM software.


Physical Activities:  On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
