The Role (daily responsibilities)

Manage the site HR functions for compensation, benefits, staffing, selection, onboarding, engagement, employee relations, performance and separations, recognition, regulatory compliance, etc., while aligning with our corporate HR policies, programs and procedures.
Partners with site leadership team and management in the organization’s strategic planning efforts, providing insight on vital HR concerns and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Supports site HR team in payroll and HRIS administration
Provides counsel to managers and employees on HR and organizational issues, development and employee relations.
Manages the organization’s recruitment, selection and placement of talent with the critical technical and management skills required to ensure the continuity of operations, and leadership bench strength development. Manages recruitment for the site’s well established and regarded intern program.
Manages and administers an effective performance management system aimed at improving employee and organizational productivity.
Partners with site training to meet regulatory and corporate compliance, while focusing on building the critical skills and competencies required to handle present and future jobs more effectively.
In partnership with Catalent Compensation, implements and administers fair and equitable reward systems that meet the strategic and competitive demands of the business.
Implements plans to address and manage cultural change within the organization to improve organizational effectiveness; ensures that organizational strategies, structure and processes are consistent with evolving site business and cultural needs.

The Candidate (requirements)

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent) is required. Master’s Degree preferred.
S/PHR or S/CP certification is a plus
Minimum of 8+ years broad based human resource experience along with 5+ within a leadership role, ideally in Life Science
Experience supporting either a development or a production environment required
Exposure to the pharmaceutical, diagnostic or medical device industries preferred
Physical requirements: must be able to lift up to 20lbs and sit/stand/walk for extended amounts of time, regular use of a computer.
