Presenter Bio:
Amy Buono is currently Vice President, People and Culture at Genomatica, a San Diego Biotech company that is focused on making the world a better place by developing biobased processes to make widely-used chemicals that enable better, more sustainable everyday products (plastics, personal care, nylon, etc.) Since joining in 2001, she has served multiple roles within HR and Administration. As VP, People and Culture, Amy is focused on ensuring a culture of high trust and engagement, while creating a psychologically safe environment where everyone can bring their “whole selves” to Genomatica. Amy graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor’s in Political Science, and is currently a member of Highrise Networks and Women in Bio Executive Roundtable.
